seattilt(ifadjustableseattiltisavailable)to
anuprightpositionbeforeascendingslopes.
Werecommendthatyoupositiontheseat
backrestortheseattiltslightlytotherear
beforedescendingslopes.
–Alwayslowerthelifter(iftted)toitslowest
positionbeforeascendingordescendinga
slope.
–Neverattempttoascendordescendaslope
onslipperysurfacesorwherethereisariskof
skidding(suchaswetpavement,iceetc).
–Avoidtryingtogetoutofthemobilitydevice
onaninclineoragradient.
–Alwaysdrivestraightinthedirectionthe
roadorpathyouareongoes,ratherthan
attemptingtozigzag.
–Neverattempttoturnaroundonaninclineor
aslope.

–Neverdrivedownaslopethatexceedsthe

6.8Handlingthedrivelock-outfeature
Drivelock-outisafeaturedesignedtopreventthe
wheelchairfrombeingdrivenaftertheseatingsystemhas
beentiltedbeyondthesafetotalanglerelativetothe
verticalposition.Thetotalanglecanbeanycombinationof
seatangle,backrestangleand/orsurfaceangle.

Riskoftipping
Drivelock-outonlyrespondswhenyouadjust
anglesinstandstill.ThefeatureCANNOTidentify
anglechangesduringdriving,forexample,when
accessingaslope.
–Stopyourwheelchairbeforedrivingonaslope,
setthetotalangletoavalueincludingthe
angleoftheslopeyouwanttoaccess.Start
driving.Ifthedrivelock-outallowsdrivingthen
itissafetodriveontheslopewiththeoriginal
seatandbackrestanglesset.
Whenyousettheseatangleandthebackrestangle
accordingtoourrecommendationsbeforedriving
onaslope,youcansafelydriveonslopes.Referto

Dependingonthetypeofyourremote,oneofthefollowing
willoccurwhenthedrivelock-outfeaturehasbeen
activated:
