1.InstallabatteryintheunitandconnecttoACpower
sourceusingtheACpoweradapter .
2.Checkthatthebatterychargingindicatoroperatesas
denedintheusermanual.
3.Connectanoxygencannulatotheoxygenoutletport.
4.Turntheuniton.Eachtimetheunitisturnedon,a
briefalarmwillsoundandallcontrolpanelindicator
lightswillilluminatebriey.Theunitpulseowsetting
willbethesameowsettingselectedthelasttimethe
unitwasturnedoff.
5.“WarmingUp”willdisplayonthescreenfor
approximately2–5minutes.Duringthisperiodthe
concentratorwillautomaticallydeliverapulseofoxygen
approximatelyeveryfourseconds.
6.Whilewarmingup,checkthefunctionoftheBacklight
button.
7.Thecurrentpulseowsettingwillbeshownonthe
displayscreenafterwarmupiscomplete.
8.The“NoBreathDetected”alarmwilloccurafter
approximatelyfteensecondsofoperation.
9.Verifythatthe“NoBreathDetected”alarmisoperating
asdenedbytheunitusermanual.
10.PresstheAudioOffbuttontoconrmitmutesthe
audibleindicator .
The“NoBreathDetected”shutdownalarmwill
soundifSteps9–10arenotcompletedwithin
twominutesofStep8.Restartunitandproceed
toStep11ifthisoccurs.
11.Breathewiththecannulatoensuretheunitpulses
ateachpulseowsetting.Conrmthatthepulse
iconisshownonthedisplayscreenwitheachoxygen
pulse.Changethesettingasrequired.Therewillbe
ashortaudiblebeepeachtimethepulseowsetting
ischanged.
12.Checktheoxygenpurityusingahandheldanalyzer .
RefertoCheckingO2Purity.
13.Usetheowselection(-)buttontoselectsetting“P2”.
14.Turnunitoff.“PoweringDown”isdisplayedonthe
screenastheunitturnsoff.
15.DisconnecttheACpoweradapter .
16.Turntheunitontoconrmoperationwithbattery
poweronly.
17.Turntheunitofftocompletethetest.
