Functions and Features
3. Refer to the figure below to connect the DUT, and live wiring is prohibited.
The connection method shown in the figure above is the wiring method
when both channels of Sense are turned on.
4.5 Channel Series Function (Series)
Series in the System menu supports connect the two channels of a single IT-
M3100D in Series, the upper limit of the voltage setting range is twice the rated
value of the single channel (and no more than 100V), and the instrument is
used as a single channel power supply at this time.
Series configuration of 2 or more IT-M3100Ds is not supported.
After Series combination, it is operated as a single instrument. The initial set-
tings of each function menu and voltage, current and power are based on the
following rules:
• Config menu: After Series, the CC/CV priority, on/off delay, Sense switch,
and trigger mode in the Config menu refer to the settings of CH1, and the
rise/fall time in the Config menu refers to the slowest slope setting of the two
channels. After switching back to single, both channels refer to Series
settings.
• Voltage/Current/Power setting: After Series, I-set is the smaller value of
the two-channel current. V-set is the sum of the voltage settings of the two
channels (and no more than 100V). P-set is twice the power set value of
CH1. When switching back to single, the voltage and power setting values of
the two channels are half of the corresponding setting of Series, and the cur-
rent is the corresponding current in Series mode.
• PROTECT menu: After Series, the default is the parameters of CH1 chan-
nel. When switching back to single, the two channels are Series parameters.
