ghtened.
, check the tension of the O.E. compressor belt:
if it is worn, replace it with another of the same type.
The smooth operaon of the condioning system depends on regular
maintenance.
The maintenance of the supplied system runs alongside that of the
O.E. system. Here is some general informaon along with some more
specic details, but reference should be made to the indicaons in the
vehicle maintenance book.
During the operaon of the condioning system, it is advisable to keep
the doors and windows of the vehicle closed.
Avoid leaving the condioning system idle for too long, acvang
it at least  even during the winter, as
its operaon guarantees the lubricaon of some components which
would tend to dry out if le inacve for a long me.
 check the O.E. condenser baery and, if necessary, clean it
using compressed air, taking care not to damage the aluminium ns.
Insects can deposit on the ns, along with u and other bodies that
will reduce the eciency of the heat exchangers.
When working near the heat exchangers, take care not to cut
yourself on the sharp ends of the ns.
At the same me, it is advisable to check the operaon of the electric
fans on the condenser.
When acvang the AC funcon, the electric fans of the condenser are
acvated. Their speed is variable depending on the pressure inside the
circuit.
Remember that the cleaning of the condenser and the check that
the fans are working properly are extremely important operaons.
A very dirty or incorrectly venlated condenser not only reduces the
performance of the condioning system, but can also shorten the life of
the compressor or even cause it - or its electromagnec joint - to break.
When cleaning the system, protect the electrical components.
The supplied system uses the coolant of the vehicles O.E. circuit.
It is advisable to check       that there is
sucient coolant in the system. A lack of coolant usually causes a drop
in performance. The check can be carried out by connecng a "lling
staon" and checking the pressure. If there is a severe lack of coolant,
before relling it is necessary to locate the point where the leak has
occurred and repair it. In this case, it is also advisable to check the level
of lubricant in the compressor and top it up if necessary.
, inspect every component of the system,
including the electrical components, to make sure that there are no
anomalies.
