UMG 96RM
Direction of the current
The current direction can be individually corrected
on the device or via the serial interfaces for each phase.
In the case of incorrect connection, the current trans-
former does not need to be subsequently reconnected.
c
Current transformer terminals!
The secondary terminals of the current
transformer must be short-circuited to this
before the power supply lines to the UMG
96RM are disconnected!
If a test switch which automatically short-
circuits the current transformer secondary
leads is available, it is sufficient to put this
into the "test" position provided the short-
circuiters have been checked beforehand.
c
Open current transformer!
High voltage peaks that are dangerous to
touch can occur on current transformers
that are operated in an open state at
the secondary terminals.
In "open-safe current transformers", the
winding insulation is measured so that the
current transformers can operate in an open
state. However, these current transformers
are also dangerous to touch if they are
operated in an open state.
