Basket rotated 180 degrees down,
facilitating needle distance adjustment
If correcon of loop li or needle distance is
necessary, then the basket must rst be rotated
down: with the bobbin case basket in the normal
posion, the basket needle guard may deect the
needle and this makes it dicult to accurately adjust
the needle distance between the hook point and the
back of the needle scarf. With the basket rotated
down one can adjust the needle distance more
accurately. Figures 12.1, 12.2 and 12.3.
Important Note: Aer moving the stop-nger the
basket can rotate and be hit by the needle; you need
to hold the basket in place when turning the hand
wheel to prevent the needle from hing the basket.
Rotang basket down:
1. Loosen the stop-nger screw with the 2.5 mm
handle hex tool tool.
2. Slide the stop-nger out of the basket groove, unl
the basket can be rotated. You may need to remove
the stop-nger. In this case, don’t worry about
reinstalling it unl aer you are nished with the
ming adjustments.
3. Rotate the basket 180 degrees unl large cutout is
up towards needle as shown in Figure 12.3. You will
now need to hold the basket in that posion when
turning the handwheel to prevent the needle from
hing it.
4. Snug the stop nger screw to hold the stop nger
out of the way.
5. Adjust needle distance (and loop li) as directed in
the next secon.
