Adjustment Procedure
Results of Improper Adjustment
Checking items:
  
Throat plate
  
Lower knife presser plate
  
Setscrew
  
Lower knife support plate
  
Setscrew
  
Lower knife
  
Lower knife angle adjustment stand
* Check that the distance between throat plate
surface and lower
knife
is 0 - 0.3 mm (A).
How to perform adjustment:
Loosen the setscrews of the lower knife presser plate and the sup-
port plate (
,
).
Move the lower knife
up or down to make adjustment.
Move the lower knife support plate
to the underside of the lower
knife
.
Retighten the setscrews
and

* In case of bad fabric cutting, it is possible to adjust the angle of
Lower Knife.
How to perform adjustment:
Loosen the setscrew

Put hexagonal wrench (2mm) into Lower Knife Angle Adj. Stand
and move the wrench clockwise slightly.
Retighten the setscrew
.
If the knife juts out from the throat
plate, the material can be caught by
the jutted section to cause irregular
feed, needle breakage and material
puckering.
If the knife position is too low, the
material jamming and material cut-
ting failure can occur.
