Collision hazard when operating the truck
Collisions with personnel and equipment can result if the truck is operated with open
panels.

Do not operate the truck unless the panels and covers are closed and properly
locked.
Requirements
– Start up the truck, see page 37
Procedure
• Release the parking brake by applying the brake pedal (8).
• Using the push handles (2) move the truck in the reverse (R) direction.
• Push the tiller (11) down and pull the truck in the forward direction (V).
The truck can be pushed or pulled in the required direction.
4.6 Steering
Procedure
• Move the tiller (11) to the left or right.

On tight bends the tiller extends beyond the perimeter of the truck.
4.7 Brakes
The brake pattern of the truck depends largely on the travel-lane conditions. The
operator must take this into account when driving the truck.
