5.3 Restoring the truck to service after decommissioning
WARNING!
Faulty brakes can cause accidents
Test the brakes immediately as soon as the truck has been commissioned.

Report any defects immediately to your supervisor.
u
Tag out and decommission a faulty lift truck.
u
Only return the truck to service when you have identified and rectified the fault.
Procedure
Thoroughly clean the truck.
Lubricate the truck according to the lubrication schedule, see page 54.
Clean the battery, grease the terminals and connect the battery.
Charge the battery, see page 29.
Check the hydraulic oil for condensation water and replace if necessary.

The manufacturer's customer service department is specially trained to carry out
these operations.
Start up the truck, see page 37.

If there are switching problems in the electrical system, apply contact spray to the
exposed contacts and remove any oxide layers on the contacts of the controls by
applying them repeatedly.
