Examine the wheel hub oil level
1 Drive the machine on a level surface and stop the engine.
2 Wait for 5 minutes and remove the oil level inspection plug
(A). If oil flows from the hole, drain it into a container.
The oil level is correct when the oil stops flowing.
3 If necessary, add the recommended oil to the planetary gear
so that the oil level rises to the level of the hole (A).
4 Install the plug (A).
Wipe the excess oil off the outer surface.
5 Repeat the procedure to the wheel hub on the other side of
the machine.
Change the wheel hub oil
Drain the oil when the axles has warmed up to ensure that wear
particles and impurities are removed with the oil.
Drain
1 Drive the tractor on a level surface and stop the engine.
2 Remove the oil drain plug (B).
3 Drain the oil from the wheel hub into the container.
4 Install the oil drain plug (B).
Fill
1 Remove the inspection plug (A).
2 Fill the wheel hub with recommended oil until some oil flows
from the hole (A). The oil level is correct when the oil stops
flowing.
3 Replace the plug seal ring and install the plug.
Wipe any excess oil off the outer surface of the planetary
gear.
4 Repeat the procedure to the wheel hub on the other side of
the machine.
Examine the differential oil level
1 Make sure that the vehicle is parked on a level surface.
2 Remove the oil level inspection plug (A) from the axle.
3 Examine the oil level to make sure it is even with the bottom
of the fill plug hole.
•
If oil flows from the hole when the plug is loosened: The
oil level is too high. Let the oil drain to the correct level.
•
If the oil level is below the bottom of the fill plug hole:
Add the specified oil.
4 Install and tighten (70-90 Nm) the oil level inspection plug (A).
