Front Panel Menu Reference
This is an overview of the front-panel menus. Press the softkeys to access the front panel menus.
Menu heading Description
Mode>
CC Constant current (CC) mode.
In this mode, the load will sink a current in accordance with the programmed value regardless of the
input voltage.
CV Constant voltage (CV) mode.
In this mode, the load will attempt to sink enough current to maintain the input voltage at its pro-
grammed value.
CR Constant resistance (CR) mode.
In this mode, the load will sink current proportional to the input voltage in accordance with the pro-
grammed resistance.
CP Constant power (CP) mode.
In this mode, the load will regulate the power being drawn from the DUT according to the pro-
grammed constant-power value.
Load Settings >
Mode > Configures the operating mode to CC, CV, CR, or CP.
Sense Configures the load input sense to 2-wire or 4-wire.
Protection > Configures the protection setting for the load input.
Range > Configures the measurement range for load input.
Short Enable or disable the input short.
Input Settings>
On/Off Coupling > Enables or disables the input coupling or synchronization between multiple input channels.
Output Inhibit > Configures the inhibit input mode and Digital IO Pin 3.
Operation Mode > Configures the input capability when two independent inputs are being used. (EL34243A only)
Sequencer >
Sequencer > Configures the sequencer type: LIST, Continuous, Pulse, and Toggle.
Utilities >
Store / Recall > Saves and recalls instrument states.
I/O Config > Displays and configures the I/O parameters for remote operations over the USB, LAN, GPIB, or
digital IO interface.
Test/Setup > Accesses the self-test, calibration, and help function as well as configures the user preferences, and
sets date and time.
Error > Displays the instrument's error queue. Errors will be cleared after viewing or instrument reset.
Manage Files > Creates, copies, deletes, and renames files and folders on the USB drive attached to the front panel.
Also allows you to capture the current screen to either a bitmap (*.bmp) or portable network graph-
ics (*.png) file.
Lock | Unlock Locks and unlocks the display.
