Using the Arbitrary Waveform Generator
Selecting the Filter
1. In the Setup Mod menu (page 277), press Filter > Select > Nyquist.
2. Press Return > Return.
Generating the Waveform
Press Digital Modulation Off On.
This generates a waveform with the custom, single–carrier NADC, digital modulation state created
in the previous sections. The display changes to Dig Mod Setup: NADC (Modified). During
waveform generation, the DIGMOD and I/Q annunciators appear and the custom single–carrier
digital modulation state is stored in volatile memory. The waveform is now modulating the RF
carrier.

volatile memory catalog, see Storing a Custom Digital Modulation State on page 279.
Configuring the RF Output
1. Set the RF output frequency to 835 MHz.
2. Set the output amplitude to 0 dBm.
3. Press RF On/Off.
The user–defined NADC signal is now available at the RF OUTPUT connector.
Storing a Custom Digital Modulation State
Using this procedure, you learn how to store a custom digital modulation state and a custom
multicarrier digital modulation state to non–volatile memory.
If you have not created a custom, single–carrier, digital modulation state, complete the steps in the
previous section, Creating a Custom Digital Modulation State on page 277.
