Introduction
This section provides a technical description and assembly level troubleshooting
procedures for the 3458A multimeter.
Only personnel with knowledge of electronic circuitry and an awareness with
the hazards involved should test and troubleshoot the instrument.
To prevent electrostatic discharge (ESD) damage to ICs, always observe
anti-static techniques when assemblies are handled or serviced. Refer to
Chapter 3 of this manual for more information on ESD.
