3458A Adjustments/Calibration
Instrument adjustments/calibration must be performed whenever a printed circuit
board assembly has been replaced or removed from the instrument. Removal or
replacement of some assemblies only requires internal calibration (by executing
the “ACAL ALL” command). Others need complete adjustments (for example,
Offset, DC Gain, etc.). It is also good practice to execute the “ACAL ALL”
command after the covers have been removed and replaced on the instrument.
Table 4-1 lists the 3458A assemblies and the required adjustments/calibration
after assembly replacement. For information on how to adjust/calibrate the
3458A, refer to the 3458A Calibration Manual.
