Making Measurements
Using RCal Directly from the 89600 VSA
We will use these marker values to compare with power meter accuracy.
21. If you are using a USB power sensor, connect the Power sensor to the RF
Output of the signal generator and connect the USB to a USB port on the
signal generator.
22. Select Meas Setup > Source tab and set Source Mode to Off to release
control of the signal generator.
23. On the signal generator, select Aux Fctn > Power Meter Measurements >
Channel A On.
24. Select Channel A Setup > Connection Settings > Connection Type > USB.
25. Select your Power Meter from the USB Device menu and select Test
Connection to confirm the device is connected properly.
26. Return to view the power meter measurements, and set FREQ > 2.5 GHz,
5 GHz, 8 GHz, 11 GHz, 14 GHz, 17 GHz, and 20 GHz, recording the
measured power at each frequency point.
