7.4 Work phase with open room thermostat contact
A bridge clamp is found at back of stove for connecting a room thermostat.
OPERATION PRINCIPLE
With open contact:
1. The stove passes directly to the “ECO TOFF” operation economy mode.
2. The stove pump switches off.
3. The temperature in the boiler increases due to thermal inertia until reaching the
temperature set on “SET H2O, displaying “ECO H2O”.
4. The stove now automatically switches off if at least one of the following
conditions exist:
If it remains in Functioning Economy “ECO-H2O for a time set on Pr23
(120 minute default setting).
If it exceeds temperature differential set on Pr12 (10°C default setting) or
H2O Temperature > (“SET H2O” + Pr12)
N.B.: the pump is calibrated to start with SET H2O + 5°C temperatures in all
stoves (DHW set-up).
ATTENTION: The above-described functioning on BI-FIRE MID and BI-FIRE stove only works on pellet
side. Room thermostat connection is automatically excluded with wood side on.
The stove will automatically reactivate if both of the following conditions occur:
If the contact of the room thermostat closes.
If it drops below temperature differential set on Pr12 (10°C default setting) or H2O temperature < (“SET
H2O” Pr12).
If the above-mentioned condition occurs when the stove is still carrying out the switch off cycle, it is required to
wait until it ends.
