3.2.4.1.7 Hardware configuration
Map sensor:
If there is a MAP sensor connected to the ECU. Please
select this option to enable the MAP input. If set to off this
input (pin 16) can be used as a sensor ground for TPS,
watertemperature, airtemperature, oil pressure, etc.
Oil pressure input:
Here you can select if there is an oil pressure sensor
connected. You can use a VDO oil pressure sensor (with a
range of 0 - 10 bar) or a KMS 1000 kPa pressure sensor.
Signal on pin 2 of the ECU connector. If set to off this input
(pin 2) can be used as a sensor ground for TPS,
watertemperature, airtemperature, MAP sensor, etc.
Analog Aux input:
You can add an extra analog signal to use for various settings.
For this specific input there can be a second Oxygen sensor fitted. Also there’s the option to fit a
potentiometer for variable launch RPM/A.L.S. as well as gearbox position sensor or KMS EGT signal.
Gearbox position: If gearbox has 0 5V position sensor, the signal can be connected to the analog
input in order to make variable settings in the powershift and boost control.
Variable launch or A.L.S.: 0 - 5V potentiometer can be connected in order to make variable control
with Launch or A.L.S..
If set to off this input (pin 4) can be used as a sensor ground for TPS, watertemperature,
airtemperature, MAP sensor, oil pressure, etc.
Analog Aux input voltage:
Select the input voltage range of the analogue input. 2 pre-calibrated settings are also available,
second oxygen sensor and KMS EGT signal.
Boost control output:
Select boost control output, on/off. You can use the boost control and connect a solenoid valve.
Setting up the parameters for the boost control is done in the boost control screen. See section
3.2.4.1.9 Boost control.
If set to off this input (pin 6) can be used as a sensor ground for TPS, watertemperature,
airtemperature, MAP sensor, oil pressure, etc.
Air-Pressure compensation:
Please select if there is a barometric compensation sensor connected. There are two possible
options for the sensor. The MP25M and MA25M ECU’s have a sensor on the circuit board. Please tick
the box internal. If an external KMS MAP 75 120 kPa sensor is connected select external. It’s only
possible to use a KMS 75 120 kPa sensor.
For both cases don’t forget to activate MAP sensor on top of the screen.
The air-pressure compensation can only be used in combination with main load set to TPS (see
section 3.2.4.1.3 Engine load sensor).
With the air-pressure compensation active the ECU uses the correction table (in the main screen
click or push ‘F5’). See also section 3.2.5 Function key F5.
