3.13Setting Function
relay1
Off
Relay1 is deactivated.
Bypass1
Differential measurement with two flowmeters. If one of the counters with the rate values drop below
the Limit value bypass and the second follows within the Bypass delay, the relay goes to the basic
setting and the alarm Bypass valve activated is generated. Alarm, Relay1 and Relay2 can be reset
again in 1.10Display reset bypass and group error message .
Bypass2
Single-line measurement with flowmeterA. If it falls below Limit value bypass The relay goes into the
basic setting. After every expiry of the repeat attempt period, the relay is switched until the bypass
time Bypass delay is expired. After that it drops again and the repeat attempt period starts again. If it
is exceeded within the repeat attempt period Limit value bypass , the relay remains switched.
Bypass3
Differential measurement with two flowmeters analog Bypass2. However, both flowmeters must be
operated with the Limit value bypass .
Filling
Filling function, see 1.07Filling amount,
Bypass 4
Differential measurement with two flowmeters. If it falls below Limit value bypass trough one of the
flowmeters, the relay goes into the basic setting. No alarm message is generated because the NO
contact of Relay1 must always be switched in series with a motor on contact to ensure a correct by-
pass release.
Note:
In the case of the functions Bypass2 and Bypass3 the valves should be switched via additional semi-
conductor relays in view of the switching frequency.
3.14Setting Limit value
bypass
The function allows the automatic activation of a bypass valve when a flowmeter blocks. The limit
value is selected smaller than the smallest minimum flow rate occurring during normal operation.
0
All bypass function are deactivated.
3.15Setting Delay
bypass
The time delay is the sensitivity of the bypass function. The condition for triggering the bypass relay
must exist continuously during the set time.
Note:
The manufacturer recommends high sensitivity under high safety requirements.
3.16Setting Waiting
period repeat bypass
The repeat attempt period is important at the relay function Bypass_2 or Bypass3, see 3.13Setting
Function relay1If the limit value is not exceeded, the flowmeter remains in bypass operation. After
expiry of the Waiting period repeat bypass relay is switched and the valve is closed. If the limit value
is not exceeded within theBypass delay the relay is switched back to the initial position. The Waiting
period repeat bypass starts running again.
3.17Setting Switch
Relay1
Manual switching of the relay can be necessary in emergencies or during commissioning of the sys-
tem.
On
Manual switching is activated.
Off
Manual switching is deactivated.
3.18Setting Switch
Relay2
Manual switching of the relay can be necessary in emergencies or during commissioning of the sys-
tem.
On
Manual switching is activated.
Off
Manual switching is deactivated.
3.19Setting Modbus
address
The transfer of data by means of the Modbus is possible via the serial interface. The address can be
set here.
Note:
Data exchange via the Modbus connection is not password-protected! Write access deletes existing
values. Therefore the manufacturer only recommends reading of the data.
