Stationary fuel pumps
NOTICE
In order to avoid damage in the fuel system, only refuel from stationary
fuel pumps.
Fuel from barrels or cans is usually contaminated and causes
increased engine wear.
Contaminated fuel leads to malfunctions in the fuel system and
reduced effectiveness of the fuel filters.
If refueling from barrels cannot be avoided, note the following
points:
Barrels must neither be rolled nor tilted before refuelling.
Protect the suction pipe of the barrel pump with a fine-mesh strainer.
Immerse the suction pipe of the barrel pump down to a max. 15 cm
(5.9 in) above the bottom of the barrel.
Only fill the tank using refueling aids (funnels or filler pipes) with an
integral microfilter.
Keep all refuelling containers clean at all times.
