Air conditioning (option)
Responsibilities and prerequisites
• Functional and visual checks must be performed by the operator/user.
• All maintenance and repair work may only be performed by the trained
personnel of an authorized service centre.
Important safety instructions regarding the air conditioning
system
Injury hazard due to rotating parts!
Rotating parts can cause serious injury.
► Stop the engine before opening the engine cover.
► Switch off the starter and remove the starting key.
► Switch off the battery master switch (option).
► Apply the parking brake.
► Let the engine cool down.
Injury hazard due to damaged hoses and lines!
Escaping refrigerant can cause serious injury.
► Do not open tubes, hoses or other components.
► Avoid all contact with the refrigerant.
Injury hazard during inspection work! There are sharp-edged fins on
the condensor and the heat exchanger. Furthermore, pipes and
hoses containing coolant may be hot!
Failure to observe this can cause injury.
► Wear protective clothing (working gloves, safety glasses).
► Do not perform maintenance unless the heating and air conditioning
systems are switched off.
