12.22 Removing the air filter
Note
Engine damageUnfiltered intake air has a negative effect on the service life of the engine.
Dust and dirt will enter the engine without an air filter.
Only operate the vehicle if it is equipped with an air filter.
Note
Environmental hazardHazardous substances cause environmental damage.
Dispose of oils, grease, filters, fuel, cleaning agents, brake fluid, etc., correctly and in compliance with
the applicable regulations.
Preparatory work
Remove the seat. ( p. 66)
Remove the air filter box cover. ( p. 67)

Detach retaining tab

. Remove air filter with air filter sup-
port.
Remove air filter from air filter support.
