Main work
– Check throttle cable routing.
The throttle cable must be routed behind the handlebar, on
the right of the frame, and to the carburetor. The throttle
cable must be secured behind the fuel tank contact area
rubber strap.
» If the throttle cable routing is not as specified:
– Correct throttle cable routing.
Finishing work
– Install the fuel tank. ( p. 72)
– Mount the seat. ( p. 66)
12.39 Checking the rubber grip

– Check the rubber grips on the handlebar for damage, wear,
and looseness.
Info
The rubber grips are vulcanized onto a sleeve on the
left and onto the handle tube of the throttle grip on the
right. The left sleeve is clamped onto the handlebar.
The rubber grip can only be replaced with the sleeve or
the throttle tube.
» If a rubber grip is damaged or worn:
– Change the rubber grip.
