– Allow the exhaust system to cool down before performing any work on the vehicle.

Remove screws

Pull off the main silencer with exhaust sleeve

and the
spring ring from the manifold.

Mount and tighten screws

Over time, the fibers of the glass fiber yarn escape and the damper “burns” out.
Not only is the noise level higher, but the performance characteristics change.
