7.5 Rear slop pan
For use with horizontal beaters only:
The rear slop pan is designed to catch loose
material that may fall from the beater area while the
machine is in transit.
To empty the pan, pull the release cable at the front
of the unit, swinging the pan down. The pan must
be manually moved to the raised, or locked,
position. This can be accomplished by raising the
bottom of the pan rearward and upward and
releasing it. If the pan does not swing up into the
raised position, raise the pan higher rearward and
retry.
Take care to avoid getting struck by the swinging
pan, either when being released from the raised
position or when being returned to the raised
position.
A rope can be attached to the cable to allow
activation from the tractor.
Always shut off beaters, spreader, tractor
and disconnect power source before
manually resetting the slop pan in the locked
position. Personal contact with moving
beaters can cause serious injury or death.
