9. Inspections and adjustments
9.1 General inspection information
Inspect safety shielding:
Be sure all shielding is in place and functioning
properly. Replace all damaged or missing shielding
immediately.
Inspect safety decals:
If any safety decals are removed, obstructed, or
otherwise illegible, they should be replaced
immediately. Keep all decals clean.
Tighten bolts and nuts:
Check that all nuts and bolts are sufficiently
tightened.
Inspect tires and lug nuts:
Keep tires inflated to proper pressure as indicated in
the spreader setup section. Keep lug nuts properly
torqued. Check lug nuts after the first few loads and
retorque if necessary.
Pusher wipers:
Check pusher wipers for wear. If wipers are worn or
bent back, adjust so they touch the side walls and
floor to clean the surfaces as material is unloaded.
Slop pan cable:
Check slop pan cable for wear. If cable is worn,
replace cable and crimped sleeves. (Horizontal
beaters)
Always refer to the safety instructions before
operating or servicing the machine.
