Fill the lter with one or two measures
of ground coee (one measure per
cup) according to the type of lter
selected. Then level and press the
coee rmly but not excessively with
the coee tamper (16).
Clean any coee residues from the
edge of the lter and insert the lter-
holder (12) into the group head (5),
moving it towards the right in order to
lock it in position.
Place one or two pre-warmed cups on
the drip tray grid (7) under the lter
holder and turn on the coee / hot
water switch (10). The pressure gauge
(3) indicates the operating pressure.
Once the required amount of coee
has been dispensed, stop delivery by
turning o the switch (10) but do not
remove the lter holder.
Turn the handle from right to left to
remove the lter holder.
Empty the coee grounds by leaving
the lter inserted and tapping the lter
holder while holding it upside down.
The 1-cup lter is suitable for ESE
pods.
After having switched on the
machine, wait about 6 minutes
for it to heat up to the operating
temperature before dispensing
the rst coee
To obtain a good cup of coee,
it is important that you use a good
quality, well roasted and correctly
ground coee.
The pump type espresso coee
machine requires nely ground
coee. If the coee is too coarsely
ground, the coee will be light
coloured and weak without froth
and if the coee is too nely
ground the espresso will be dark
and strong and have little froth.
We recommend that you grind
the coee beans with a grinder
immediately before making the
coee since the coee quickly
loses its aroma after it has been
ground.
We recommend that you dispense
steam for a maximum of 30
seconds.
Do not touch the hot surfaces
(boiler, group head, lter holder,
steam supply nozzle) to avoid
burns.
Do not remove the lter holder
while coee is being dispensed to
avoid possible burns.
Under no circumstances place
your hands under the group head
or the steam supply nozzle as the
liquids or steam delivered are hot
and may cause burns.
Do not remove the lter holder
immediately after having
dispensed coee, wait for a few
seconds to allow any residual
pressure to be released in order
to avoid possible burns.
PREPARING ESPRESSO COFFEE USING A
PRESSURIZED FILTER HOLDER
The special pressurized lter holder
allows you to make an excellent
creamy espresso coee just like at the
bar.
Insert the lter holder (13) into the
group head (5) and turn it from left to
right until it locks in order to pre-heat
it. Release the lter holder handle.
The handle will now automatically
move slightly back towards the left.
This movement ensures that the lter
holder will operate perfectly for a long
time.
