Crusher Panels
When a bridge of cardboard is forming over the packer (see Figure 4-10), the packer might not be
able to push material inside the body. Two (2) crusher panels can be used to break the load inside the
hopper.
After unloading the hopper bucket, the operator can use one of the two crusher panels to compress
material in front of the packer. Labrie recommends to use the rear crusher panel first and then the
front crusher panel (see Figure 4-11). By keeping the front crusher panel down, this will prevent the
cardboard to rolling over the packer.
If, after a few cycle, another bridge is forming inside the hopper, lower one of the two crusher panels,
using the control levers located on the left-hand side of the body. To lower the panel, just push and
hold the corresponding lever until the panel reaches the desired position. To raise it, pull and hold the
lever.
It is recommended to use crusher panels only between packer cycles, when the packer is fully
retracted. This technique will increase the effect of the crusher panel.
Warning!
Roll up both hydraulic oil supply hoses after each use.
