6.2 Calibration Messages
The calibration is a session of commands (listed below) with a “Write Calibration“ command that
closes the session. Any user (cell phone or computer) can perform the session. Even two or more
users can split the commands between them, but the session will end when the first “Write
Calibration“ command will be received by the SLC-220.
Note: All calibration setting can also be done from SLC-Manager PC program or from the LCD.
6.2.1 Set-Points Setting
Sets the calibration set-points of the sensor connected to a specific sensor input of the unit. Each
command sets only one parameter. Additional commands are required for setting other set-points.
Refer to chapter 3 for detailed information on set-points.
Message format:
CAL,sensor index,type,value
sensor index: A single digit number describing the number of the sensor in the unit, from sensor
#1 till sensor #4.
type: A text that can be Air, Water, Oil or HiOil (high oil).
Note: Air & Water are fixed set-points, while Oil & HiOil are OFFSETS from the Water value.
value: The value of the set-point in micro-Amperes, 4 Digits MAXIMUM without a decimal point.
Example: CAL,1,WATER,1462
Set sensor #1 “Water” set-point to 1462 uA
6.2.2 Season Setting
Compensation to icing of the water: Sets the weather season and an offset correction for Water
set-point. In winter, the offset value is subtracted from Water Calibration as part of the decision
making of Oil alarm. Done separately for each sensor.
Message format:
CAL,sensor index,command,value
sensor index: A single digit number describing the number of the sensor in the unit, from sensor
#1 till sensor #4.
command: Can be SSN or SET.
SSN is Season Setting Number, followed by an offset value (3 DIGITS).
SET is for setting the season, followed by season name abbreviation (winter or
summer).
value: For SSN command: This is the value for the offset, in micro-Amperes. 3 digits ONLY, no
decimal point.
For SET command: This can be WNTR (for winter) or SUMR (for summer).
