8 Troubleshooting Guide
The following guidelines help in diagnosing and solving simple system failures. If the operator,
with the help of this section, cannot solve a problem, contact the distributor or manufacturer.
PROBLEM
POSSIBLE CAUSE
POSSIBLE SOLUTION
LCD and/or POWER Light
are off, and/or no 4-20mA
output, and/or no Relay
output change.
No power to unit.
Check connection to mains or power
source.
Verify that the internal On-Off switch
is on.
Improper supply of power.
Verify conformance of power supply.
Wrong wiring.
Check wiring against wiring diagram.
Faulty Relay/s.
Check if the small LED located on
the left side of the Relay changes
according to expected Relay status.
Replace faulty Relay or replace the
Outputs board.
No communications to PC
with SLC-Manager
program.
Improper communications
parameter setting in the
PC.
The serial port should be set to
115200 Baud, 8 data bits, 1 stop bit,
no parity, and no flow control.
Faulty communications
cabling.
Check integrity of communication
cable. Ensure correct connection of
Tx and Rx wires: They are straightly
connected (not crossed).
