What to do if LEGRAND DMX3 1600 Circuit breakers ACB trips after closing?
    • P
      Patrick ThompsonJul 25, 2025
If your LEGRAND Circuit breaker trips after closing, it could be due to a couple of reasons. If it trips after a few seconds or minutes, there may be an overload fault. Inspect the unit protection to identify the fault and then resolve the cause. Alternatively, the Shunt Release may be continuously receiving a command. In this case, verify the source of the command.

If your LEGRAND Circuit breakers ACB does not close when you press the “ON” button, it could be due to several reasons. First, the U/V release might be present but not energized; in this case, you should energize the U/V release. Second, the mechanism spring might not be charged; charge it manually until the spring status indicator turns yellow. Third, the reset button might be ejected; press the reset button.
