4.6 Adjust the Rotor Speed (If Extra V-belt Pulley is Available)
• Requirements:
•
Allen key
• Torque wrench
• Hammer
1. Remove the V-belt housing.
2. Turn the tensioning device counterclockwise to release the tension from
the V-belts.
3. Remove the V-belts.
4. Remove the two allen bolts from the right pulley.
5. Put one of the allen bolts in the center hole of the right pulley.
6. Tighten the bolt until the right pulley disconnects from the clamping
device.
7. Remove the clamping device and the pulley.
Do not use oil or grease when you install a new pulley.
8. Install the clamping device on the conditioner rotor shaft.
9. Install the new pulley on the clamping device.
10. Align the pulley with the top pulley and the left pulley.
11. Put the two allen bolts in the holes of the right pulley.
12. Torque-tighten the allen bolts to 50 Nm (5 kgm).
13. Tap the right pulley with a hammer, then torque-tighten the allen bolts
to 50 Nm (5 kgm) again.
14. Install the V-belts.
15. Turn the tensioning device clockwise to tighten the V-belt.
16. Adjust the V-belt tension until a force of 70 N (7 kg) applied to the V-belt
between the left and right pulleys moves the V-belt 10 mm.
17. Turn the pulleys several times and make sure the V-belt tension is
correct.
18. Install the V-belt housing.
