UsingtheExtenddesktopfunction
YourcomputersupportsafunctionnamedtheExtenddesktop.WiththeExtenddesktopfunction,you
candisplayoutputonboththecomputerdisplayandanexternalmonitor.Youcanalsodisplaydifferent
desktopimagesoneachmonitor.
YoucanusetheExtenddesktopfunctionwithoutchanginganysettings.Ifthefunctiondoesnotwork,refer
to“EnablingtheExtenddesktopfunction”onpage42
toenableit.
ConsiderationsforusingtheExtenddesktopfunction
•IfyouwanttoshowDOSfull-screenwhileintheExtenddesktopmode,onlytheprimarydisplayshows
DOS;theotherdisplayisblackedout.
IfyourcomputerhastheIntel

displayadapter,youcandesignatetheotherdisplayastheprimary
displaybydoingthefollowing:
1.PressCtrl+Alt+Fn+F12.TheIntelCUIwindowopens.
Note:ForanycombinationoftheFnkeyandafunctionkey,presstheFnkeyrst;then,whileholding
theFnkeydown,pressthedesiredfunctionkey.
2.SelectExtendedDesktop.
3.Changethesettingtodesignatetheprimarydisplay.
