Prerequisitesfortheprocedure
DANGER
Iftherechargeablebatterypackisincorrectlyreplaced,thereisdangerofanexplosion.Thebattery
packcontainsasmallamountofharmfulsubstances.Toavoidpossibleinjury:
•ReplaceonlywithabatteryofthetyperecommendedbyLenovo.
•Keepthebatterypackawayfromre.
•Donotexposeittoexcessiveheat.
•Donotexposeittowaterorrain.
•Donotshort-circuitit.
•Donotdrop,crush,puncture,orsubjecttostrongforces.Batteryabuseormishandlingcan
causethebatterytooverheat,whichcancausegassesorameto“vent”fromthebattery
packorcoincell.
Replacingthebattery
Toreplacethebattery,dothefollowing:
1.Turnoffthecomputer,orenterhibernationmode.Thendisconnecttheacpoweradapterandallcables
fromthecomputer.
2.Closethecomputerdisplay,andturnthecomputerover.
3.Slidetherightbatterylatchtotheunlockedposition1,andthenholdtheleftbatterylatchtothe
unlockedpositionuntilyouremovethebattery2.
