Lenovo ThinkServer TD230 - Deleting the RAID Volume; Rebuilding the RAID Volume; Checking the RAID 1 Volume Consistency

Duringtheprocessoftheinitialization,youcanpressEscforthefollowingoptions:
•Stop-stopthecurrentprocess
•Continue-continuethecurrentprocess
•Abort-exitthecurrentprocess
DeletingtheRAIDvolume
ThissectionprovidesinstructionsonhowtodeletetheRAIDvolume.
TodeletetheRAIDvolume,dothefollowing:
1.SelectManagement➙CongurefromthemainmenuandpressEnter.TheCongurationMenu
opens.
2.SelectClearConguration.
3.FollowtheinstructionsonthescreentoselecttheRAIDvolume.
4.SelectYesandpressEntertodeletetheRAIDvolume.
RebuildingtheRAIDvolume
Whenthereisafailingharddiskdriveinthevolume,youneedtoreplacetheharddiskdrive.Youcanrestore
theRAIDvolumethroughtherebuildingfunction.
TorebuildtheRAIDvolume,dothefollowing:
1.Dooneofthefollowing:
•SelectManagement➙Rebuildfromthemainmenu.Theharddiskdriveselectionwindowopens.
ThefailingharddiskdrivewillbemarkedasFAIL.
•SelectObjects➙PhysicalDrivefromthemainmenu.
2.Usethespacekeytoselecttheharddiskdrivethatneedstoberebuilt.
3.PressF10.Whenprompted,selectYestostartrebuilding.Theharddiskdrivestatuswillbeshownas
REBUILD.
4.Afternishrebuilding,pressanykeytocontinueotheroperationsyouwanttodo.
CheckingtheRAID1volumeconsistency
CheckingtheconsistencyoftheRAIDvolumehelpsyoundtheproblemaboutinconsistencyvolumedata
andthenautomaticallyrestorethisproblem.ThisfunctiononlyappliestoRAID1.
Thecontrollercanonlyreporttheinconsistencyorreportandxtheinconsistency.Fromthemainmenu,
selectObjects➙Adapter➙Chkconstatetosetthecontroller.
TochecktheconsistencyoftheRAID1volume,dothefollowing:
1.SelectManagement➙CheckConsistencyfromthemainmenuandpressEnter.TheCheck
Consistencymenuopens.
2.UsethespacekeytoselectthedesiredRAIDvolume.
Note:OnlytheRAID1volumecanbeselected.IfyouselectotherRAIDvolume,forexampleRAID0,a
messagewillbedisplayed,showingthisvolumecannotbeselected.
3.PressF10.Whenprompted,selectYestostartcheckingtheconsistency.
