ToremovetheRMM3,dothefollowing:
1.Removeallmediafromthedrivesandturnoffallattacheddevicesandtheserver.Then,disconnectall
powercordsfromelectricaloutletsanddisconnectallcablesthatareconnectedtotheserver.Wait
threetoveminutestolettheservercoolbeforeremovingtheservercover.
2.Removetheservercover.See“Removingtheservercover”onpage23.
3.Laytheserveronitssideforeasieroperation.
4.LocatetheRMM3inyourserver.Then,disconnecttheribboncablefromtheRMM3connectoronthe
systemboard.See“Locatingpartsonthesystemboard”onpage15.Removethescrewthatsecures
theslotbracketwithRMM3.Then,carefullylifttheslotbracketwithRMM3outoftheserver.

5.PuttheremovedRMM3kit(slotbracketwithRMM3andribboncable)intoitsoriginalpackage.If
necessary,disconnecttheribboncablefromtheRMM3.

instructionsanduseanypackagingmaterialsthataresuppliedtoyouforshipping.
