Step 1. Insert the end of the flash power module into its carrier.
Step 2. Rotate the flash power module down into the carrier until the tab clicks in place to secure it.
After you install the flash power module, complete the following steps:
1. Connect the required cable and make sure that all cables are correctly routed.
2. Install the top cover onto the server (see “Install the top cover” on page 75).
3. Install the server into the rack if necessary.
4. Reconnect power cords and all external cables.
Install a DIMM
Use this information to install a DIMM.
See “Memory module installation rules and order” on page 50 for detailed information about memory
configuration and setup.
Before you install a DIMM, complete the following steps:
1. Read the following section(s) to ensure that you work safely.
• “Installation Guidelines” on page 48
2. Turn off the server. Disconnect the power cords and all external cables (see “Power off the server” on
page 80).
3. Touch the static-protective package that contains the component to any unpainted metal surface on the
server; then, remove it from the package and place it on a static-protective surface.
