3 Close the scanner cover.
When using the MX521 and MX421 printers, do the following to clean the ADF:
1 Open the ADF cover.
2 Using a damp, soft, lint-free cloth, wipe the following areas:
• ADF glass pad in the ADF cover
7017-2xx, -4xx, -6xx
