1. With the vehicle in clear line of sight to the sky, power ON the radio (The vehicle does
NOT have to be running, but the radio must be powered ON).
2. Press the “AM/SAT” button to switch the band to “SAT1” and turn to channel
“0 (zero)”.
3. Write down the 8-digit radio ID.
NOTE:
Please check the radio ID code carefully. The letters “I”, “o”, “S”, or “F” are NOT used
in the radio ID.
4. Log on to http://oemrefresh.xmradio.com and follow the activation instructions OR call
1–800–TLC–XMXM (1–800–852–9696) and follow the voice activated prompts for
dealer demo activation.
The activation signal is sent to the vehicle immediately and will continue to be sent for
up to 2 hours. The vehicle may need to remain ON for up to 30 minutes to receive the
XM activation signal.
5. After 30 minutes, return to the “Confirmation Procedure” in this TSIB to ensure
activation is complete and repeat steps 1 – 4 above, if necessary.
