A03. TRUNK LID
a) Check opening of the trunk lid by
using the mechanical key.
Note: The following is how to re-
move and store the mechanical key.
D To remove the mechanical key
Electronic key: Release the lock
and pull the key out.
Card key: Push and hold the but-
ton, and pull the key out.
D To store the mechanical key
Electronic key: Slide and hold
the release knob, and insert the
key.
Card key: Push and hold the but-
ton, and insert the key.
b) Check closing of the trunk lid:
D By trunk closer

D By power trunk opener and clos-
er switch
*
on the trunk lid
c) Open the trunk lid and, check
that the trunk lights illuminate.
Note: The trunk lid will not open by
pushing the switch on dash board
when the trunk lid opener main
switch is in the inoperative position.
d) Check the first aid kit storage
belt.
Check that the belt is properly
loosened and tightened.
