A05. SMART ACCESS SYSTEM
a) With the electronic key within the
vehicle, push the lock button on
the outside door handle and
check that the buzzer sounds and
that the door does not lock.
b) Take the electronic key and get
out of the vehicle. Push the l ock
button on the outside handle and
check that the door locks.
c) From a d istance of at least 3 ft.,
approach the vehicle and pull the
outside door handle of the left
and right sides. Check that the
door unlocks.
Note:
D The doors cannot be unlocked
for 3 seconds after the doors
are locked.
D Only the driver ’s door unlocks
when the driver ’s door handle
is held, and all doors unlock
when a passenger ’s door han-
dle is held.
d) Check that the trunk lid is un-
locked by pushing the trunk lid
button.
e) Check the volume of the opera-
tion signal and door lock buzzer
with the volume adjusting knob.
Clockwise: Increase the volume.
Counterclockwise: Decrease the
volume.
Turning the knob clockwise until
a click sound is heard turns off
the volume.
