• Open network and protected network are
two types networks that are available.
On the left of Wi-Fi
®
network name, the
network type is indicated by an icon.
The icon indicates
(open network)
/
(protected network). The icon also
indicates the signal strength.
• To search Wi-Fi
®
network again, tap on
the "Wi-Fi" screen.
•
Network name is not displayed depending
on the settings for the access point even
if the Wi-Fi
®
network is connectable. If
this happens, you can still connect to the
network. Refer to "Adding a Wi-Fi
®
network"
(P174).
• When establishing a Wi-Fi
®
network
connection, the required information is
generally obtained from a DHCP server
automatically. It is possible to specify
these items separately but the network
may become unusable if you make a
mistake in the setting information.
• When "Switch to mobile data" is ON, if the
mobile network icon is displayed on the
status bar, it indicates that the mobile
network is being used and note that the
packet communication fee will occur.
• If the access point which is not being
connected to the Internet is being
connected,
is displayed and the mobile
network may be used to communicate
instead of Wi-Fi
®
.
• If the docomo service is being used via
Wi-Fi
®
, "dアカウント" needs to be set.
From the Home screen, tap "Settings" →
"docomo service/cloud" → "d ACCOUNT
setting" to set.

"WEP", "WPA/WPA2 PSK", and "802.1x
EAP".
