ALPHA 552
1. PNEUMATICAL EQUIPMENT
Please read the safety instructions provided at the beginning of this manual before
handling the following devices.
1.1. Description
The following automatic movements of the ALPHA 552 barfeed system are done via pneumatic elements,
namely:
• Bar stock selection
• Bar stock dropping fingers
• Bearing blocks opening and closing
• Material clamping
• Smart booster clutch engaging
• Smart booster additional force at material insertion and extraction
• Front rest opening / closing with Air blast
To guarantee an optimal operation of the barfeed system, a minimum pressure of 5 bar (75 PSI), and a
maximum pressure of 6 bar (90 PSI) is mandatory.
