Connecting a PTZ Camera
(LHV2000 Series)

You can connect PTZ cameras (not included) to the system. You can use1080p MPX,
720p HD, and analog PTZ cameras with the system. Lorex MPX PTZ cameras can ac-
cept PTZ commands directly through the video cable. Lorex 1080p MPX and 720p HD
PTZ cameras do not require wiring for RS485.
To connect a PTZ camera to the system:
Connect the camera video cable to one of the Video IN ports on the system. If you
have an 1080p MPX or 720p HD PTZ camera, it will automatically be detected and
can be controlled by the DVR.
If have an analog PTZ camera, connect the RS485 wires for analog PTZ cameras to
the AB ports on the rear panel of the DVR. A is positive (+) and B is negative (-).
1. BNC Video Cable: Used with all types of cameras.
2. RS485: Used with analog cameras only.
A (TX+)
B (TX-)
3. PTZ Camera
If you have an analog PTZ camera, you must follow the steps below to configure
the DVR to communicate with the camera:
1. Right-click and click Main Menu. Enter the system user name (default: admin) and
password (default: 000000) if prompted.
