Inspection and maintenance work
DANGER!
Carbon monoxide poisoning!
The engine needs to be running for certain inspection
and maintenance work; for instance when checking the
transmission oil level. In closed rooms, there is the
hazard then of a life-threatening carbon monoxide
poisoning if the fumes are inhaled.
X Start up the engine only in well-ventilated rooms.
X Otherwise, vent the engine's exhaust fumes to the
outside.
X If possible, avoid starting the engine in closed
rooms.
