12.6.5 Functionalities of TPMS System
• Low Pressure Monitoring
• High Pressure Monitoring
• High Temperature Monitoring
• Pressure Leakage Monitoring
• Spare Tyre Swap
• Sensor Signal Missing (Communication error)
• TPMS Sensor Faulty.
Low Pressure Monitoring
Low pressure monitoring is to indicate low tyre pressure. Please
note the following points.
• Low pressure alert will be set only when the tyre pressure value
goes to 24 psi or below
• Low pressure alert in the main alert screen will pop up once for
driver notification when the alert is set and the vehicle is in
running condition. Otherwise the alert will remain in the
information screen and alert register screen
• If low pressure is observed, respective tyre should be rectified
with cause of low pressure and then fill air
• Once low pressure alert is set with tyre pressure lower than 24
psi then the alert shall not be cleared until the pressure is filled
more than 28 psi
High Pressure Monitoring
High pressure monitoring is to indicate high pressure alert. Please
note the following points.
• High pressure alert will be set only when the tyre pressure value
goes to 48 psi or beyond
• High pressure alert in the main alert screen will pop up once for
driver notification when the alert is set and the vehicle is in
running condition. Otherwise the alert will remain in the tyre-
tronics screen
• If high pressure value is observed, air has to be released from
the respective tyre until the pressure reduces to the placard
value of 32 psi
