5.7 Print Preview Software (PPS)

5.7.1 Print preview Toolbar

Print preview is the user interface for processing prt files generated from the art department. PPS allows the

operator to confirm crucial job information and select which plates to process.

Open Print Preview by double clicking on the desktop icon.

The Toolbar contains these commonly used functions:

Open adds one or more prt files to the software.

Parse continues the parsing process (loads the job and generate

preview for every channel) if the loading process was canceled

before finishing.

Delete Job deletes the selected job or selected channels.

Print prints the selected jobs or selected color channels. The Print

Command communicates with the PCS Software. When you click

this icon, PCS Software is launched and the selected job will be

printed automatically.

Cancel has two functions: stopping the loading process or printing

process.

Pause halts the printing process.

Resume restarts the printing process of paused jobs.
