13 - FORWARD/NEUTRAL/REVERSE GEAR SELECTION
When changing the direction of travel, the machine should be traveling at slow speed
and not accelerating.
A-FORWARD GEAR
- Press the front of the switch.
B-REVERSE GEAR
- Press the back of the switch.
NOTE: A reversing alarm and a reversing light are available as an option.
C-NEUTRAL
- Lightly press the front or back of the switch.
NOTE: The warning D indicates that the position of the forward/reverse selector is
not in neutral.
To start the machine, the switch must be in neutral.
When the parking brake is released and the operator selects forward or reverse gear, the
"aggravating" hydraulic movement cut-off device is disabled. The indicator lamp on the
disabling switch comes on after 3 seconds (
-SWITCHES: D - DISABLING "AGGRAVATING"
HYDRAULIC MOVEMENT CUT-OFF).
SAFETY FOR MOVING THE MACHINE
Movement of the machine is only authorized if the operator is seated with the seat belt on.
To move the machine, the operator must observe the following sequence:
• 1-Sit down correctly in the driver’s seat,
• 2-Lock the seat belt,
• 3-Release the parking brake,
• 4-Engage forward or reverse gear.
To stop the machine, the operator must observe the following sequence:
• 1-Put the gear selector in neutral,
• 2-Apply the parking brake,
• 3-Unlock the seat belt,
• 4-Get out of the machine.
If these sequences are not followed, you must put the forward/reverse selector back in neutral and repeat the sequence.
If the operator does up the seat belt with forward or reverse gear engaged, the alarm emits a beep and the warning
appears on the screen:
- If the seat belt is put back before 2 seconds, the operator can continue to move.
- If the seat belt is put back after 2 seconds, the machine is automatically braked, the operator must lock the belt, put the
forward/reverse selector back in neutral and apply the parking brake before resuming the movement.
NOTE: Depending on the model, movement is prohibited if the operator is not seated in the seat. A beep signals it is in operation.
12 - DIFFERENTIAL LOCK PEDAL
IMPORTANT
While the differential lock is engaged, always drive in a straight line and at low speed.
The differential lock allows the driving wheels to turn at the same speed regardless of
the terrain.
- Fully depress pedal 1.
- Hold this position for as long as required.
