5.2.2 Applying and removing the hoist rope
Applying the hoist rope
Remove the sheaves (1).
Lay the hoist rope over the left head sheave
of the main boom.
Put all sheaves (1) back in place and secure
them with retaining pins.
Attach the hook tackle or the hook block.
Removing the hoist rope
Unreeve the hook block.
Remove the sheaves (1).
Take the hoist rope off the left head
sheave of the main boom.
Put all sheaves (1) back in place and secure
them with retaining pins.

Risk of accidents due to falling parts
Secure the sheaves and rods always with retaining pins when securing the
hoist rope.
This will prevent elements from becoming loose, falling down and injuring
persons.
