7.8.1 General inspection
• Investigate any unusual noises in the angle gear.
• Check the transmission and the oil circuit (oil cooler, filter, hoses, connec-
tions) for leaks. If consumables are leaking;
à Checking the oil level, p. 7 - 54.
• Check that pipes and hoses are tightly connected and not damaged.
If any damage is found, report it to Manitowoc Crane Care or an authorised
GROVE dealer or an authorised specialist workshop.
7.8.2 Checking the oil level
Symbols The oil is monitored by sensors in the angle gear and the following warning
messages are displayed in the CCS menu:
– Oil level too low,
– Oil temperature too high.
