7.1.4 Installing Firmware Updates, Licenses and Libraries
Some features of the Trikombin require additional licenses or library files. You will get those
from your distributor. Firmware updates are provided free of charge. The Trikombin also
allows installation of compatible libraries from other providers.
• Update files end with .7z
• License files end with .lic
• Library files end with .inst
Updates, new or updated licenses or libraries can be installed as follows:
1. Copy the files into the root directory (therefore NOT in a folder) of an USB memory
stick. Please note:
◦ There must not be any folders with special symbols in its name or other files
ending with .7z, .lic or .inst in this directory. (Preferably the USB stick is empty.)
◦ You can install multiple files at once.
◦ A library file can be installed only if the corresponding license exists. The license
may either have been previously installed or you can install it along with the library.
2. Insert the USB stick into the USB slot of the Trikombin.
3. Activate the Start Mode by pressing the corresponding tab at the bottom left in the
touchscreen and press the button “Maintenance”. The dialogue “Maintenance”
opens.
4. Tap the button “Add license or library…”. The device will now install the license and
library files from the USB stick.
5. Confirm the corresponding messages.
